The January 2017 meetings of Us TOO Florence are: Tuesday, January 10 at the Presbyterian Church of the Siuslaw from 5:00 - 7:00. Tuesday, January 17 at Ichiban Chinese-Japanese Restaurant from 12:00 noon to 1:00. Dr. Bryan Mehlhaff will be present to bring us the latest information on prostate cancer screening and treatment plus answer all our questions. We'll also have lots more information available including the Us TOO HOTSHEET, the latest on screening guidelines plus the experiences of the survivors in attendance and, boy, are those valuable. Our urologist at the lunch meeting will be Dr. Roger McKimmy. It is his day at the Florence OUI Clinic and he blocks out his lunch to share that time with us. He keeps us up to date and answers our questions. We encourage anyone who wants to learn more about prostate cancer to join us. Newly diagnosed men can make it easier for the urologists to address their specific details if they will bring copies of their lab reports (PSA tests, biopsy results, etc.). With so much negative information floating around regarding PSA testing, men who wonder what it all means should attend one of our meetings and discuss it with a urologist and the men/women present. This is a great way to plan your prostate health care which includes that all-important baseline PSA test.
